Cinderella's Closet Boutique

The Cinderella’s Closet Boutique is now closed for the 2026 season. Thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers, partners, and supporters, we proudly served 1,288 students this year—helping each one find the perfect look and the confidence to shine.

While the racks are now empty, our mission continues. Behind the scenes, we’re already collecting gowns, organizing inventory, and planning for next season so we can serve even more students in 2027.

What is the Cinderella's Closet Boutique?

Cinderella’s Closet Boutique is Fairy Goodmothers’ signature event, held each year in late winter or early spring ahead of prom season. High school students in need are invited to schedule an appointment to “shop” free of charge for a prom dress and accessories. Each student is paired with a Personal Shopper who helps them find an outfit that fits, flatters, and makes them feel confident and celebrated.

Preparation for the Boutique takes place year-round and is supported by dedicated volunteer committees. These teams lead fundraising efforts, solicit and organize donations, sort and prepare inventory, coordinate with school guidance counselors, and connect with schools throughout the community to ensure students are aware of this opportunity.

Gently used prom dresses and accessories are collected through dress drives and private donations. To bridge the gap between donated items and event needs, Fairy Goodmothers hosts fundraising events and partners with generous local business sponsors. Their support plays a vital role in making Cinderella’s Closet Boutique possible each year for Central Ohio students.
