What is Cinderella's Closet Boutique?
The Cinderella's Closet Boutique is Fairy Goodmothers' signature event held in the late winter/early spring before prom season. We invite high school students in need of a prom dress and accessories to make an appointment to "shop" free of charge. Each student is paired with a Personal Shopper to help them find a dress that fits, flatters, and makes them look and feel their best!
We work year-round in preparation for our annual Cinderella's Closet Boutique, where students make their prom selections. We have many committees that do everything from fundraising, soliciting donations, sorting and preparing our inventory, coordinating with school guidance counselors, and reaching out to schools and media outlets to spread the word about the Boutique.
Donations of gently used prom dresses and accessories from a variety of sources are accepted through dress drives and private donations. To fill the gap between what we collect and what we need to make the Boutique successful, we hold a variety of fundraising events. Our organization is also fortunate to partner with local businesses that serve as sponsors of our events. Their generous support contributes significantly to our ability to do what we do each year for Central Ohio students.
The Fairy Goodmothers are thrilled to report that we helped 1,298 students over three weekends and two school days for this year's Cinderella's Closet Boutique!
While the Boutique is now closed for the season, the work doesn't end.

Tips for Shopping
You are welcome to bring one (1) guest with you to the Boutique. Pets are not permitted in the Boutique.
Due to space constraints, we are limited to the number of people within the Boutique. In order to provide the best possible experience to all students within these constraints, guests must wait outside the Boutique. Each student will shop and try on dresses with their Personal Shopper and is welcome to come out to the waiting area to show gowns to their guest. We thank you for your understanding.
Since we do not have private fitting rooms available, we recommend that you wear camis, tanks, sport bras, and/or tights to try on your dress. Only students and female-identifying volunteers will be in the fitting room areas.
We understand that you may carpool with friends to the Boutique; however, we can only accept students during pre-registration times who have booked an appointment online. Depending on capacity, we may allow walk-ins; however, we may request that you set an appointment for a later time or different day.
Proof of financial need is not necessary. We only require proof of participation in a High School curriculum, such as a high school ID, grade card, recent paper, or project.
